What

When
are regular Council Meetings and where are they held?
The City of Erlanger Council meetings are held on the first Tuesday
of every month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in Council Chambers
located in the Administration section of the Municipal building
at 505 Commonwealth Avenue.

are the procedures for attending Council Meetings?
Anyone is invited to attend a Council meeting. If you would like
to speak at the meeting, please sign in when you first enter Council
Chambers.

Do
I need a building or zoning permit?
Whether or not you are required to have a building or zoning permit
depends on the type of project you will be doing. For a more accurate
answer, please call the Building and Zoning Department at 727-7992.

How
do I apply for a building or zoning permit?
You can access our permit applications on our website or you can
obtain them at the Municipal building located at 505 Commonwealth
Avenue. All permits must be delivered to the Building and Zoning
Department in order to be processed.

How
do I obtain a permit to hang a banner?
In order to obtain a permit to hang a banner, you must first notify
the Kentucky Department of Transportation at 341-2700. Once the
DOT has issued a permit, you can then contact the Erlanger Fire/EMS
Department at 727-7942. In order for the Fire/EMS Department to
hang the banner, you must present the banner, permit, and pay the
fee for hanging the banner.

Where
can I obtain an occupational license?
The Kenton County Occupational License Department handles all
the City of Erlanger’s occupational licenses. Their phone

How
many times can I have a yard sale in a year & do I need a permit?
The City of Erlanger asks that our residents have no more than
two yard sales in one year. We do not require yard sale permits.

If
I have a problem with the trash service who do I contact?
The City of Erlanger has a contract with Bavarian for trash removal.
You can contact them at 485-4416. If a problem continues after
first contacting Bavarian, please call the City Clerk at 727-2525.

During
a holiday week how will my trash be picked up?
The only holidays that Bavarian does not pick trash up on are
Christmas and New Years day. The areas scheduled on those days
will be picked up the day following that holiday,

Will
the trash service pick up large items such as appliances?
Bavarian will pick up large items. They must be notified at least
one day prior to pick-up. Items containing antifreeze must have
a certified sticker on the appliance stating that the freon has
been removed. Appliances with doors must have the doors removed
prior to setting out so that children can not hide inside them.
