The School Resource Officer and D.A.R.E programs are managed by
Officer Todd Brendel and Officer Mark Jolly. Both officers have
gone through Department of Criminal Justice basic and advanced
School Resource Officer classes along with National Association
of School Resource Officer basic class. Officer Brendel has also
attended NASRO advanced class, and is a Practitioner and a probationary
instructor for NASRO. Both officers have received training to be
D.A.R.E. instructors.
Officer Brendel is assigned to Lloyd High School and Tichenor Middle
School as an SRO. Some of the activities and programs that this
position is responsible for are: Youth Crime Watch, I-Safe, I-Stik,
summer camps and assisting with the athletic programs at both schools.
Officer Jolly teaches D.A.R.E at Arnett Elementary, Lindeman Elementary
and Miles Elementary. By doing so he makes contact with the elementary
children in the Erlanger-Elsmere School district in a positive
role. By doing this, children learn not only to “Say No To Drugs”
but that Police Officers can be your friend.
