Mountain Bike
Unit
Sergeant Troy Vines is in charge of the Police Mountain Bike Unit.
The patrol officers assigned to the unit are Steve Canfield, Bill
McGohan, Tosha Humphrey, Jeff Miles and Chad Girdler. These officers
are assigned to all three shifts and have made a positive impact
on the work environment.
All officers have completed special training and are certified
as Police Mountain Bike operators.
The Police Mountain Bike officers have made a positive impact on
the community. Bike officers have been able to get to know the
citizens on a more personal level instead of just driving by and
waving from the patrol car. This, coupled with the ability to detect
criminal behavior while being undetected, makes the bike officer
a valuable tool for the Erlanger Police Department. |
