Investigations
The Detective Unit of the Erlanger Police Department is directly
supervised by the Administrative Lieutenant. There are four (4)
full time detectives. Three (3) are assigned to major case investigations
and one (1) is assigned to an area narcotics task force.
The function of the Detective Unit is to investigate major crimes
that are more detailed than a Patrol Officer would have time to
investigate; examples of major cases are Robbery, Burglary, Serious
Assault, Rape, Felony Theft, etc. These crimes can take a few days
to several months to fully investigate. |
